LifeBio in Words and Pictures - Join our new project
This initiative targets residents aged 55 and above who reside in the Fingal area. Its primary focus is reminiscence (memoir) writing, an opportunity to document significant life events or experiences. Participants will articulate their memories through written pieces, accompanied by visual representations such as collages or scrapbook layouts.
The project will span six weeks, with four weeks dedicated to writing sessions and two weeks to crafting visual imagery. Culminating in an exhibition, it aims to showcase the participants' contributions to Fingal's social, economic, and cultural capital.
Participation in the project is free of charge. It is funded entirely by Creative Ireland through Fingal County Council and delivered by DCU Age-Friendly University. Renowned author Sean Farrelly, known for his expertise as a novelist and playwright, will facilitate the writing component. More information about Sean can be found here.
The project, which is scheduled to commence on Thursday, July 4th, from 2.30 to 4.30pm, will take place at St Mary's Hall Howth. A maximum of twelve participants are invited to participate. The project is scheduled to end Thursday, July 25th.
