Upcoming Age-Friendly Universities Conference
Dublin City University became the first third-level institution to adopt the concept and principles of an Age-Friendly University in 2012 and has committed to lead and highlight the role that universities can play in responding to challenges and opportunities associated with the ageing demographic of the 21st century.
We are excited to announce that our second interntaional conference "Engaging Ageing 2018: New Frontiers of Ageing: Research, Policy & Practice", will take place on March 13/14th next in Corke Park.
Our Keynote speaker is Prof. Alexander Kalache , former Director of the World Health Organisation’s global Ageing and Life Course Programme from the Geneva headquarters. During his thirteen years at WHO he launched the Active Ageing Policy Framework and the global movement on Age-Friendly Cities among many other enduring initiatives.
