Age Friendly University Network is delighted to welcome The University of Manitoba (U of M). U of M is a public university in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Located in Winnipeg, it is a research-intensive post-secondary educational institution. Founded in 1877, it was Western Canada’s first university. Uof M is home to the The Centre on Aging, which was established on July 1, 1982, with a mandate to serve as a focal point for the conduct of research on aging.
