New Frontiers of Ageing: Research, Policy and Practice
Submission guidelines
- Authors are invited to submit abstracts linked with the major themes of the conference, which should be indicated during the submission process. However, proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered.
- Abstracts may focus on a traditional research or academic report, or case study of practice, but we will also consider proposals for workshops, interactive sessions, and exhibits where logistics allow e.g. thematic discussion sessions, roundtables, or ‘fishbowl’ sessions.
- If accepted, abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentation at the conference under the aforementioned themes, so please indicate on your submission which theme you are submitting for.
- If you would to submit an abstract process tthat falls outside of these themes please select 'Other' as the theme topic on the submission form.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by a Conference Committee who will make recommendations as to the type of presentation. The receipt of your abstract submission will be confirmed by e-mail.

Format
Typed submissions should beprepared in Word format, be no longer than 300 words and no longer than one A4 page.
- Preferable formatting is as follows:
- Margins: set to Moderate,
- Text alignment: Justified
- Font: Calibri font size 11 (or similar sans serif font)
- Line spacing: Single
Submissions should include a title (in bold), author(s), institution(s) and information on the study/activity/case study/session proposal. The use of sub-headings is not necessary, but the use of paragraphs with tabbed indents is welcome.
The author submitting the abstract should appear as the first named author and will be expected to present the work if it is accepted.
Authors are encouraged (where relevant) to emphasise in their abstract the possible contribution/impact of their submission to practitioners/other researchers for Age-Friendly Research, Policy and Practice.
