Well done to WI researcher Greg McNamara!

Water Institute researcher, Greg McNamara, recently presented a conference paper "Performance Metrics in Life Cycle Assessments of Wastewater Treatment Plants" and a poster "Improving the resource efficiency of Irish wastewater treatment plants: perspectives and challenges" at the Sustainable Development Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES) Conference in Dubrovnik.

The research, funded by the Irish EPA, focused on the environmental performance and efficiency of Irish wastewater treatment plants.

Wastewater treatment, the water-energy nexus, and water economy were central themes at the conference.
