To Fluoride or Not to Fluoride?

To Fluoride or Not to Fluoride? The age old question for water in Ireland, and one that affects us all.

Currently in Ireland, the public water supply is fluoridated. The practice is considered controversial by some, with anti-fluoridation campaigners arguing that adding substances to the water supply amounts to mass medication, which they insist is unethical.

DCU's School of Nursing, Ann Reilly and Mary Rose Sweeney have completed a Study of Fluordation, commissioned by the Water Institute.

Their study is entitled "Risks and Benefits of Fluoride in Water: A Literature Review and EU Wide Policy Analysis around Decision Marking".
