DCU Students Union run many events in each week during the semester so there are many options when your looking for social events on campus. Students also go in to the city centre and other areas of Dublin for social aspects.

There are several restaurants and cafes on the Glasnevin/ St Patricks campus which serve hot and cold food and have meal deals for students. Generally you will get a hot meal for about €5. You also have a Londis and Pharmacy on the Glasnevin campus also.
Yes, all facilities such as sports and accommodation are open for all DCU students to avail of.
In DCU we have over 130 different clubs and societies. You can join as many as you like if you have an interest in them. We have sports pitches which are floodlit (both astro and grass), an athletics running track and other athletics facilities, a 25 metre pool and sports centre, an indoor sports arena, as well as squash and racket ball courts...
The Disability and Learning Support Service coordinates a range of supports for students who are registered with the service.
Campuses
DCU is a multi campus university - the Glasnevin, St Patrick's and All Hallows campuses. The St Patrick's campus is where the Education courses are taught and some of the subjects from the BA Joint Honours degree. There is a 20-25 minute walk between the campuses but there are buses and bikes available to go between them also.

We have a brand new state of the art four floor library on our St. Patrick's Campus which complements the existing library on the Glasnevin campus. There is free wifi, work stations as well as desktop computers.
DCU does have on-campus accommodation for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and you can find out more and apply via the Accommodation Office webpage.
INTRA
The INTRA work placement is a really valuable and enjoyable part of DCU.
INTRA means Integrated Training and is offered with the majority of our undergraduate courses. It ranges from 2 months to a full year and can be paid or unpaid. It is an opportunity to see what the working world in your chosen field is like in reality. Most importantly it gives you a chance to work in a real life work environment which offers a unique opportunity to gain experience and form relationships with companies. Click here for more.

Of course. DCU Sport caters for all abilities and interests. Whether you want to go to the swimming pool or sauna, or want to use the gym or the cardio area. Sport in DCU is for all abilities and interests.
DCU facilities are spread across our two campuses and include a superb sports complex and a 25 metre pool together with a huge range of Sports Clubs and Societies (over 40). The Sports Development Services ensures there are sports activities for all students. The DCU Sports arena also hosts a number of sports such as superleague basketball and the sports grounds include an all weather floodlight pitch, 4 grass pitches (one is floodlight), 5 lane sprint track, Click here for the full range of activities and facilities available.
All the sporting clubs welcome beginners and there are different level teams to play for. Competitions do take place but you can also just train for fun.
We offer a two types of sport scholarships which require you to download a form online and send it to DCU:
1. Points concession scholarship: If successful it entitles the candidate an opportunity to study a course on a reduced number of points. Click here for more information (Closing date is May 1st of each year)

All sport scholarships are available to apply for all for sports recognised by Sport Ireland.
