Professor Catherine Furlong Topic: ‘Bachelor of Education (Primary Teaching)’The DCU Bachelor of Education will empower you to become a skilled and creative primary school teacher. It will develop your understanding of how children learn and how best to facilitate their learning. You will have access to some of the most innovative teaching resources in the country, such as our Lego Innovation Studio and Minecraft Studio. |

Marlene McCormack Topic: ‘Bachelor of Early Childhood Education’Are you interested in working with children with special needs, with children and families or in support and early intervention organisations? Are you interested in developing your critical thinking and research skills? The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECE) course will enable you become a creative innovator and leader in the field of early childhood. You will develop the knowledge, expertise and skills to support the development and early education of children from birth to 6 years. |

Dr PJ Sexton Topic: ‘Bachelor of Religious Education with English or History or Music (Post Primary)’This course offers a streamlined track to a profession in post-primary teaching, qualifying you to teach Religious Education and your chosen subject to Honours Leaving Certificate Level in just four years. Teaching placements take up 25% of the course and include observation of practice, micro-teaching, peer teaching, team-teaching and school-based placement. |

Dr Laoise Ní Thuairisg Topic: ‘Bachelor of Education in Gaeilge and French or German or Spanish (Post Primary)’Go raibh maith agat as spéis a léiriú sa Bhaitsiléir san Oideachas i nGaeilge agus Fraincis nó Gearmáinis nó Spáinnis. This four-year degree will fully qualify you to teach Gaeilge and your other chosen language in post-primary schools on completion of the course. You will develop professional knowledge and practice in how to teach languages. The unique approach taken in this course will enable you to reach a high level of ability in Gaeilge and your chosen language enabling you to be a confident and effective language teacher. |
