The Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in residential care settings for older people

This work was presented at the Trinity Health and Education International Research Conference 2021 (THEconf2021)

In this study led by Dr Mary Rose Sweeney the researchers set out to explore the COVID-19 pandemic as it was experienced by key stakeholders - staff, managers, residents and family members in residential care settings in Ireland with an aim to explore to explore the learnings which could be applied in the event of future waves of COVID-19 or new epidemics or pandemics. We used a mixed methods approach, in two phases, as outlined in the presentation.
