DCU Applicant Guidance for individuals with no Last Name
We understand that some people do not have a Last Name and may have one first name or multiple forenames. When applying for a place on a programme at DCU, we want to support prospective applicants who do not have a Last Name and we need to ensure that the application form can be completed correctly and consistently.
Applicants with one First Name
Example of passport with no surname
If you have one forename, i.e. a first name only but no Last Name or Surname, your passport might look like this:

Please complete the Name section of the application form as follows:

Applicants with multiple forenames
Example of more than one forename
If you have more than one forename, i.e. a first name and a middle or second name but no Last Name or Surname, your passport might look like this:
