Reihaneh Aghamolaei joined Dublin City University (DCU) in 2021. Prior to this appointment, she worked as a module coordinator for the Building Information Modelling (BIM) module at the University College Dublin (UCD) and Griffith College Dublin specialising in the areas of building energy performance analysis, building physics and energy optimisation. Also, she worked as a sustainability engineer in the Ireland AEC industry with a focus on designing sustainable buildings, and assessment of energy performance and carbon emission of residential and commercial buildings. Reihaneh studied Architecture Engineering (2013) and Sustainable Planning (2015) and graduated with first-class honours. Then, she continued her research on whole building energy simulation at the Energy Institute of University College Dublin (UCD). She also worked as a PhD researcher at the University of Tehran (UT) with a focus on the thermal impacts of built environments on surrounding areas on an urban scale. Her research interests include the thermal performance of buildings, techno-economic energy optimisation and retrofitting and renovating of buildings by means of novel and holistic building modelling techniques.
