Lisa Clarke is an Assistant Professor in Primary Geography Education and Social, Environmental and Scientific Education. She works in the area of Initial Teacher Education (ITE). She has previously worked as a primary school teacher in Dublin.
Lisa's research interests include; place-based pedagogies, enquiry-based teaching and learning in primary geography, and continual professional development for teachers.
Lisa has recently completed her Masters of Education in DCU, with a focus on enquiry-based learning in primary geography and continual professional development for primary teachers.
Lisa is a member of the Geography Association (GA), a member of the steering committee for the Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education at DCU and a Changemaker Schools Network Fellow. She is also a committe member for the upcoming International Geographical Congress Olympiad 2024.
