Pamela Sharkey Scott
PROF
Professor of Strategy and International Business at Dublin City University, and Head of the Work, Psychology and Strategy group, Pamela completed her PhD and other degrees in Ireland and the UK, and is an accounting fellow (FCCA). Prior to her academic career, Pamela enjoyed a senior role in corporate banking, leading a team of expert risk analysts.
Pamela's research interests centre on strategy and leadership in multinational corporations and her research is supported by a range of leading organisations. Her work, and that of her PhD researchers, has received several nominations and awards, including from the world's leading conferences in business, the Strategic Management Society and Academy of Management Society. Pamela's research with her international and local collaborators, is published in the world’s premier strategy and international journals, including Journal of International Business, Journal of World Business, Journal of Management Studies and MIT Sloan Management Review.
Pamela has delivered on strategy and international business modules across a range of executive education, masters and undergraduate programmes, for national and international university and government bodies. She serves on several national and international advisory boards.
Pamela has a blend of rich practical experience and a deep understanding of the behavioural, financial and strategic underpinnings of management and leadership as a scholar and practitioner.
