Niamh Watkins
Dr
Niamh is an assistant professor in the school of Language,
Literacy and Early Childhood Education (LLECE) where she lectures in the area
of Literacy to undergraduate and postgraduate students .
Niamh has more than ten years experience teaching at primary school level in DEIS schools.
Research Interests
Niamh's interests include literacy in the context of educational disadvantage; dialogic approaches to literacy; writing pedagogy, project-based learning, literacy across the curriculum, critical literacy pedagogy, literacy assessment in higher education.
She is currently completing doctoral studies in the University of Sheffield.
