Rinne sé a thráchtas M.A. ar theoiric an aistriúcháin i Litríocht na nÓg. Chomh maith leis seo, chaith sé seal san aonad aistriúcháin GA i bParlaimint na hEorpa i Lucsamburg. Jamie has a BA International degree in Irish an French from University College, Cork as well as an MA in Translation Studies from Dublin City University. He completed his MA thesis on translation theory in children's literature. As well as this, he spent some time in the Irish translation unit in the European Parliament in Luxembourg. His interests include drama studies, terminology agus translation. He is currently undertaking a PhD in the field of drama translation.
