Is as Contae Aontroma do Chaoimhe Nic Lochlainn. Rinne sí BA comhonóracha sa Ghaeilge agus sa Fhraincis, agus MA sa Ghaeilge in Ollscoil na Banríona, Béal Feirste. Rinne sí céim dochtúireachta san ollscoil chéanna; “Cruthú Corpais agus Cultúir: Aistriúcháin agus Athinsintí i Litríocht na bPáistí, 1922-2012” is teideal don tráchtas.
Bhí sí ina comheagarthóir ar Laethanta Gréine & Oícheanta Sí: Aistí ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na nÓg le Ríona Nic Congáil (2013) agus ar Thar an Tairseach: Aistí ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na nÓg (2014) le Róisín Adams agus Claire Dunne. Chomh maith leis sin, tá ailt agus léirmheasanna foilsithe aici ar ghnéithe éagsúla de litríocht agus de chultúr na n-óg. Tháinig an chéad leabhar do pháistí óna peann in 2018: Scéalta le hInsint don Ghealach.
Caoimhe Nic Lochlainn is from Co. Antrim. She completed a BA Joint Honours in Irish and French (2009), as well as an MA in Irish (2010) in Queen's University, Belfast, before doing her PhD in the same institution. Her thesis was entitled "Creating Corpus and Culture: Translations and Retellings in Children's Literature, 1922-2012".
She has co-edited Laethanta Gréine & Oícheanta Sí: Aistí ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na nÓg (2013) with Ríona Nic Congáil, as well as Thar an Tairseach: Aistí ar Litríocht agus ar Chultúr na nÓg (2014) with Róisín Adams and Claire Dunne. She has also published articles and reviews on various aspects of children's literature and culture. Her first children's book, Scéalta le hInsint don Ghealach, came out in 2018.
