Paul Van Kampen

Academic Qualifications: ir. (M.Sc. equivalent) in Engineering Physics (1994) at Eindhoven University of Technology. Ph.D. degree in Atomic Physics awarded in 1998 at University College Dublin. Career Outline: Postdoctoral research in the Centre for Laser Plasma Research at DCU (1997-2000); working on XUV photoabsorption of silicon and uranium. Appointed to assistant lecturer post in DCU in 2000. Appointed to permanent (tenured) post in 2002 with Physics Education as remit.
