Aurora Trif is an Associate Professor in International Employment Relations & HRM at Dublin City University Business School.

Aurora is interested in comparative employment relations in Europe, non-standard (flexible) forms of work and international HRM. Aurora was the Principal Investigator for an EU-funded project focused on the strategies of social partners to address precarious work in nine Central-Eastern European countries and Greece (2014-2016). This project focused on developments in five sectors, namely construction, healthcare, retail, metal and temporary agency work. She was an invited speaker at events organised by the European Parliament and the European Commission in 2016. She has published her work in leading academic journals such as the British Journal of Industrial Relations, the European Journal of Industrial Relations and Industrial Relations Journal. In 2017, her paper entitled ‘Romania - collective bargaining institutions under attack’ has become the most-cited article in Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research (Ranking: 2015 SJR Score: 0.802 | 7/46 Industrial Relations (Scopus®).

After completing her PhD in Industrial Relations at the London South Bank University, Aurora was awarded a Post-doctoral fellowship by the Max Plank Institute for Studies of Societies in Cologne and a Newman Post-doctoral Scholarship in New Employment Relations by University College Dublin. Aurora is a member of the Irish Industrial Relations Association and the CRANET international HRM network.
