Adam Mcauley
DR
I am a graduate of University College Dublin (BCL; LLM) and Dublin City University (PhD). I also attended the Honourable Society of Kings’ Inns from 1993-1995 and was called to the Bar in October 1995. I was a visiting lecturer in Medical Law at the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy, Loyola University Chicago (March-May 1996). I am frequently invited to give lectures on medical law issues to health care professionals.
I have supervised postgraduate research on human trafficking and the nature of decision-making of mental health tribunals.
I am currently supervising one PhD student who is examining the special care jurisdiction of the High Court and another who is considering the rights of parents in their interactions with the Child and Family Agency. I welcome applications from prospective reseach students in family law, medical law, human trafficking law and judicial politics.
