New Irish Research Council Laureate Awards
The Irish Research Council has announced a new funding scheme, the Irish Research Council Laureate Awards. It will make €2.5 million available for frontier research across all disciplines beyond postdoctoral level. The Council is inviting applications at early (Starter) and mid-career (Consolidator) levels. Funding will be awarded on the basis of excellence, assessed through an international peer-review process. All laureates will be expected to make a follow-on application to the ERC.
Applications are open as of yesterday. More details are available here. If you are interested in applying, in the first instance you should contact Dr Katya McDonagh in the Research & Innovation Support Office.
