DCU has applied for European HR Excellence in Research accreditation
DCU has submitted an application to the European Commission for the right to use the HR Excellence in Research logo. This significant award will endorse the University's commitment to the The European Charter and Code for Researchers in the areas of ethical and professional standards, recruitment, working conditions and professional development for researchers. It will also increase the international profile of the University, assist with attraction and retention of talent and support researchers in attracting international funding.
The submission process for the award involved a collaborative effort by the HR Department, RIS, the Graduate Studies Office and members of the wider research community. An Internal Gap Analysis of the University's policies and practices against the principles of the Charter and Code was conducted and an Action Plan was developed with identified areas for improvement. Progress on this initiative will be communicated over the coming months.
