SFI Research Image Competition

DCU researcher Dr. Larisa Florea was one of the finalists in SFI Research Image Competition 2013. Larisa presented this compelling image of self-assembly under UV light, which was created in the course of her research at INSIGHT research centre in DCU. This image shows the spontaneous self-assembly of microstructures that are capable of darkening or changing colour when exposed to light at the liquid-air interface.
