If you’re looking to build or fund an international network in a new research area, or combine disciplines to look at existing challenges from a new perspective, then a COST Action might be a good next step. The COST Open Call is for new COST Actions, which cover the expenses of networking activities (not research). Submissions will be accepted until the 23rd October 2024, at which point they will be collected and reviewed.
The Network of Proposers must include at least seven different COST Full or Cooperating Members, amongst which at least 50% shall be from COST Inclusiveness Target Countries.
Find out more about the open call here.
Informal enquiries can be made to David Flood, the COST National Coordinator (david.flood@enterprise-ireland.com).

RIS/RPA are happy to announce a new addition to the suite of supports available for DCU grant submissions.
The new budget building service, available since Feb 2024, will complement the suite of supports available for grant application development through the Research Development and Support teams. The service will support staff in designing budgets for more complex applications.
Interested applicants will provide a short summary of their budget requirements to their Faculty RDO, as part of their broader engagement with the RDO application support. This will be referred to RPA, and in consultation with the applicant, the RPA team will develop a complete budget for incorporation into the grant application.
Budget builds for all major funders are supported under this support category.
Please contact the Research Development Officer for your Faculty for further details.
