Times Higher Education features DCU digital repository and research
The Times Higher Education featured a piece this week on DCU's digital repository Doras. Theses held in the open-access repository have been downloaded almost 1.4 million times. Speaking about the downloads, Dean of Greaduate Studies Prof. Lisa Looney said 'Doctoral students are driving our institutional reputation globally because of the easy access to these theses'. THE drew attention to DCU's enhanced performance in international rankings. The University was ranked 75 in THE's top 100 Unviersities under 50 and was one of only two Irish universities featured. The piece added that 'as well as its improved research profile... DCU’s strong performance in THE’s ranking was driven by its strong international links at postgraduate level'.
