Collaborative Research for a Better Future
Over 350 researchers from Brazil and Ireland gathered at Dublin Castle this week for the inaugural Brazil-Ireland Science Week which was organised by DCU. The event was an initiative of Science Foundation Ireland to promote scientific collaboration between the two nations. More than 80 senior researchers traveled from Brazil this week to explore the theme "Collaborative Research for a Better Future".
Senior funding agency representatives from Brazil, Ireland and the European Union, joined industry representatives to discuss the theme. At the opening event in the Portrait Gallery in Dublin Castle Sergio Gargioni, President of Confap, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mark Ferguson, Director General of Science Foundation Ireland, ensuring ongoing scientific collaboration between researchers from Brazil and Ireland.
