MyHeartMatters Launch

Helping DCU Income Protection Plan  members take control of their heart health.

DCU recognised the need for a proactive health and wellbeing initiative for their members. As a result, MyHeartMatters was launched, a cardiovascular screening programme designed to help DCU Income Protection Plan members take control of their heart health.

Did you know, 27%* of deaths in Ireland are caused by diseases of the circulatory system and 80%** of cardiovascular diseases, could be prevented if detected early.

The 25-minute assessments were performed in two stages by a Doctor and a Nurse/Cardiac Physiologist.

Assessments included:

“Excellent service to provide, make you think more about your health and monitor it more closely.”

“Very efficiently set up and very comprehensive testing with clearly explained results.”

“This is a super initiative; many of us don’t take the time off work to get checked out. Bringing the facility and expertise onto the campus was extremely helpful - thanks!”

“So happy that my employer is prioritizing and facilitating this level of healthcare. It means a lot.”

“It was well-organised and easy to access, and the team was excellent. Great initiative for raising awareness of cardiovascular health.”
