Dr Tanya Levingstone
Dr Tanya Levingstone is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Dublin City University. She is the Programme Chair for the Biomedical Engineering BEng and MEng Programmes.
She leads a multidisciplinary research group focused on the development of novel biomaterial and tissue engineering solutions for bone and cartilage repair. She has a h-index of 26 and has attracted over €5 million in research funding since joining DCU in 2016.
Dr Levingstone’s teaching activities relate to Biomaterials, Surgical Devices and Tissue Engineering. She is actively involved in advancing biomedical engineering education. She is currently leading a project aimed at integrating virtual labs into the curriculum, enhancing the learning experience for students within the Biomedical Engineering Programmes.
