PhD Researcher, DCU School of Electronic Engineering and SFI Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real).

Luz is a 4th year PhD student in the School of Electronic Engineering in DCU, funded by the SFI Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real). Luz received her BSc. in Mechatronics Engineering in 2015 from the Technological University of Bolivar, in Colombia. 

She received her MSc. in Electronic Engineering in 2018 from the same university while working as a research assistant in the Center of Excellence and Adoption on Internet of Things (CEA-IoT) developing IoT prototypes for agricultural and industrial applications. 

Luz worked for 2.5 years as an Assistant Professor in the Mechatronics Engineering programme in the Technological University of Bolivar before starting her PhD. Her current work focuses on Human Computer Interaction to increase engagement in physical rehabilitation programmes.
