Data Literacy and Analytics
As part of DCU Futures under the Transversal Skills pillar, a brand new Data Literacy and Analytics Module was launched in September 2022. This fully online module, developed in conjunction with DCU Studio to ensure an excellent student experience equips students with the knowledge and skillset of Data Literacy and Analytics required in the 21st century.
It enables students to gain the capability to collect, process, critique, analyse, visualise, and interpret data in an unbiased, responsible, actionable and ethical manner.
It further helps students to develop the ability to use tools such as Excel, Python and R and techniques to efficiently understand, interpret, and use data in their particular discipline.
This module and it's topics have been embedded across all 10 DCU Futures programmes. There are are currently over 700 students completing this module.
