June Open Day 2024

Parking is free in the Multi-storey carpark for the duration of the event - enter via Collins Avenue entrance to DCU Glasnevin Campus.

Choosing the right course and university is an important decision. If you are unsure about any of your choices or have some last minute questions about a DCU course or student life at DCU, this is your chance to ask those questions and confirm your CAO choice. 

Please note that DCU Education courses are based on DCU St Patrick's campus (primary, secondary teaching, adult and further education). This open day takes place on DCU Glasnevin Campus but you can avail of a campus tour of St Patrick's Campus at 1.30pm or 2.15pm on the day (more information below).

11.00am-11.30am Dr Claire Bohan, Dean of Students, Student Support & Development

Going to College in September 2024 - Guidance for Parents/Guardians

Overview of the First Year journey and the highs and lows of that first year. Claire will cover key milestones of the journey, the costs of college, supports available and what support parents/guardians can provide to students.

11.00am-1.00pm Information Stands

Staff and student representatives from DCU Schools will be available to answer your questions throughout the morning.

Representatives from Student Support and Development, Maths Learning Centre, Writing Centre, Access, Disability Support, Autism Friendly Service, Sports Scholarships, Placements (INTRA and International Mobility), Careers Service, Students' Union, Campus Accommodation and QQI/FET (PLC) will be in attendance.

  Campus Tours

Campus Tour

Take a tour of DCU Glasnevin and/or DCU St Patrick's campus to gain a real sense of where you may be studying for the next few years!

Campus Tours will take place as follows:

DCU Glasnevin Campus: 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 1.00pm Starting Point: Outside main entrance to Nursing and Human Sciences Building

DCU St Patrick's Campus: 1.30pm and 2.15pm Starting Point: DCU Letters at the main gate into St Patrick's Campus

 


Other options include:
1. Request a call back (we will call you back on a day and time that suits you to assist you with questions you may have about DCU)
2. Ask us a question on our online Q&A platform. DCU staff and students are available between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday to answer your questions about DCU courses, Disability, Access, Widening participation, Sports, Accommodation, Student Support and Development, and Admissions.
3. There are lots of recordings from previous open days on our CAO Hub including student/staff panel discussions on specific courses, Podcasts, virtual campus tours (in case you cannot make the open day) and much more – and they are all there to help you make an informed decision.
