Welcome to the homepage of the University's Data Protection Unit (DPU). 

As part of its day to day activities the University manages and processes personal data, primarily but not exclusively, relating to staff, students and research participants. 

The role of the DPU is to provide information and support on all matters relating to the management of personal data within the University and this section of the website is intended to inform and assist staff, students and any other interested parties in understanding how the University performs that role.    

The DPU comes under the Office of the Chief Operations Officer for admin and management purposes.
