DCU named Dublin’s leading university for graduate employment

Dublin City University has welcomed data released today which shows that it is the capital’s leading University for graduate employment, and in the top two of universities nationwide.

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) figures show that 79% of DCU graduates find employment within six months of leaving college or are due to start a job within the next three months. This makes DCU the leading University in the Dublin region for graduate employment and in second place nationwide, just 1% percent behind the University of Limerick.  

The figures were released today as part of the Higher Education Authority’s Graduate Outcomes Survey, Class of 2017.

Welcoming the results, Professor Brian MacCraith, DCU President, said:

“These results are very encouraging. They demonstrate that we are not only providing programmes that are relevant for today’s economy, but also that we are delivering highly sought-after graduates who are ready for the world of work and eager to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.”
