DCU graduate wins European Digital Communication Award
Congratulations to Mick Lynham, a DCU MSc in Digital Marketing graduate, who has scooped a prestigious European Digital Communication award at a recent ceremony in Berlin.
Chosen from over 700 digital projects, Mick’s entry won the top award in the ‘Best Master’s Thesis’ category, beating entries from Germany and the Netherlands to take the prize. His thesis examined the potential role of advances in digital technologies, and specifically music classification technologies, might have in improving effectiveness of video advertising and renovating academic theory.
Entries in this category, according to the awards organisers, ‘must contribute to the clarification of scientific theory or practical problems and gaps in research in the field of online communications. The winning entry provides a thorough academic treatment of the subject, including a clear focus on application.’
