Invent based company INSERO helps improve health and safety while reducing costs on construction sites

INSERO Ltd, a company based at Invent DCU has developed a system, which aims to improve health and safety standards on construction sites.

The solution called SITEINTELL incorporates the latest mobile technology, providing construction companies with handheld devices to scan ID cards belonging to workers coming onto site. The handheld device displays the photo, contact details and Health and Safety credentials of the worker. This information is then transmitted back to the INSERO’s website (http://www.siteintell.com) where it can be securely accessed from any location.

Administration costs associated with the time consuming task of compiling health and safety information and site attendance records are significantly reduced. The solution can maintain an up-to-date list of all cardholders, which, in the case of an emergency or evacuation, is a vital requirement within the EU's Health and Safety regulations for the construction industry.

INSERO, which formed in 2003 is now working with a number of large construction companies in the UK, the latest of which is Barratt Homes Plc.
