Indian Embassy donates books to Ireland India Institute

In a ceremony organised by the Ireland India Institute on 11 May 2015, the Indian Embassy in Ireland made a donation of books to the Ireland India Institute of the Dublin City University. The ceremony was attended by the Honourable Indian Ambassador, Smt. Radhika Lal Lokesh, Prof. Brian MacCraith, President of Dublin City University and a host of other dignitaries. Smt. Lokesh stressed on the importance of the growing education sector in India and the opportunity it provides to Universities to built a bridge across borders.

The collection of books that the Embassy donated was only a small beginning towards creating a long term collaboration between the University and the Embassy, she said. 

Prof. MacCraith expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for this endeavour, and also spoke at length about some of the future plans that the University has in strengthening its relation with India.
