Forthcoming lectures

The Ireland India Institute Public Lecture continues with a Fifth Lecture in the series being delivered today by Her Excellency, Smt. Radhika Lal Lokesh, Ambassador of Ireland to India. The Ambassador will speak on the topic of Perspectives of Indian Foreign Policy.

 

HE Smt. Radhika Lal Lokesh presented her credentials to the President on 12 September 2013. HE Smt. Lokesh majored in History in the Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University. Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 1982, she taught at Lady Shriram College. She has served in various capacities in Brussels, Lagos and Pretoria. She also served as Deputy Permanent Representative / Deputy Chief of Mission in Vienna and Berne and as Consul General in St Petersburg. During her stints at headquarters, she served in Europe West, Investment Technology Promotion and Policy Planning Divisions. Her last assignment was as Additional Secretary in the Development Partnership Administration of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

 

Forthcoming lectures in this interesting and innovative series include topics as diverse as Bhopal on its 30th Anniversary (02.04.14), Reflections on Ahmisa (10.04.14), Challenges to India's Sustainability (20.05.14) and Bollywood Cinema (23.06.14).
