Speaking at the event, Ambassador Raghavan said that the Embassy hoped that the donation of works by leading Indian academics would work to strengthen an understanding of India by the staff and students of DCU.

Professor McCraith re-affirmed DCU's commitment to strengthening its links with Indian universities as part of its international strategy.

Dr John Doyle, Head of the School of Law and Government, which hosts a number of joint research projects with Indian colleagues, announced that DCU has become the first Irish university to offer specialist modules on the contemporary politics of South Asia in general and on India in particular.
