Welcome Dr. Bernadette Sweetman
Mater Dei Centre for Catholic Education is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bernadette Sweetman as post-doctoral researcher in adult religious education and faith development at the Centre. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Sweetman to the team at MDCCE.
Dr. Sweetman’s appointment is for three years. She joins us from EQI (The Centre for Evaluation, Quality and Inspection) at DCU, where she has been a research assistant for the past two years. During this time, Dr. Sweetman worked on a number of national and international educational research studies and lectured on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Institute.
Bernadette is well known to many associated with MDCCE as she was also previously the Research and Development Officer at the Irish Centre for Religious Education from 2013 to 2016. We wish her well in her new role and look forward to benefitting greatly from her energy and academic rigour.
This post-doctoral position is funded thanks to a gift to the University by the Presentation Sisters North East Province through the DCU Educational Trust.
Many thanks to all who encouraged this initiative and made it possible.
