First EdD RE Graduation Ceremony

The Irish Centre for Religious Education celebrated today the graduation of the first five graduates from the EdD RE programme, established four years ago by Mater Dei Institute of Education in partnership with the School of Education Studies, Dublin City University. The students were supported by ICRE scholarships thanks to the generosity of the MDI Education and Research Trust.  Cora O’Farrell, Ciara Morrison-Reilly, Erica Sheehan, Bernadette Sweetman and Orla Walsh all completed research in areas of importance for contemporary Religious Education. This innovative and thriving programme continues under the direction of Dr. Sandra Cullen at the new DCU Institute of Education on the DCU St. Patrick’s Campus.
