DCU Spin out AmbiSense Opens UK Office

AmbiSense is continuing to grow. We’re currently expanding our business further throughout the UK and Ireland. In addition to our base at DCU Innovation Centre in Dublin, we are delighted to announce that we are now opening our first UK office at the fantastic Birmingham Research Park.

We’re very excited to have found a home at Birmingham Research Park as we feel AmbiSense has a perfect fit with the park’s ethos. Established in 1986, the park is a venture of the University of Birmingham which was setup to create a thriving entrepreneurial community that supports research and innovation led enterprise, and which creates positive economic impact and societal benefit.

Speaking from the new offices in Birmingham, AmbiSense CEO, Stephen McNulty said “We look forward to working alongside some of Britain’s most exciting tech start-ups and to further developing relationships in the UK around our innovative continuous gas monitoring technology.”

In launching our UK office, we also welcome Dr James Taylor to the AmbiSense team as our dedicated Business Development Manager. Jim will be based in our Birmingham office and will be providing sales and development support for the AmbiSense technology across the UK and Europe.

Jim will be using his 15 years of commercial and academic experience in the environmental science sector coupled with his business development skills earned at ALS Environmental and Severn Trent to great effect. Jim will no doubt make our UK office a success story, with a plan to steadily increase the team size over the coming years.

On his move to Birmingham, Jim said “The new AmbiSense office is an exciting landmark in the expansion of the company and one that I’m looking forward to leading. I’m eager to emulate the success that the rest of the team has created in Ireland and create long lasting relationships for AmbiSense here in the UK and further afield.”
