UNIBILITY kick-off meeting
Dr. Yurgos Politis represented HERC at the kick-off meeting a new Erasmus+ project entitled UNIBILITY: Universities meet Social Responsibility (USR); the duration of the project is 2 years: October 2015 – September 2017. The kick-off meeting was held in Vienna by the coordinating partner, the Postgraduate Center of the University of Vienna from October 15-16 2015. The consortium also includes the University of Porto, the University of Barcelona, the University of Ptuj, EUCEN and the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
The meeting was very productive and the partners discussed a range of issues including the project management and communication; the project deliverables that in this case are labeled Intellectual Outputs (IO); the dissemination strategy and the budget, which was a rather challenging issue!
The atmosphere was very positive and collegial. The partners acknowledged the difficulties and obstacles that the consortium will need to overcome, mainly due to the limitations of the project budget, but everyone seemed in agreement that the quality of the IOs should not be compromised.
The next meeting will again be in Vienna in mid 2016 in order to combine with and facilitate the management training element of the project.
