ESRALE 2016 Winter School
ESRALE invites applications from masters and doctoral students for its 2016 Winter School on Comparative Studies in Adult and Lifelong Learning.
The school will take place February 3rd-12th at the University of Würzburg. Germany.
The Programme Includes:
-Basic concepts: „politics, policies, strategies for adult and lifelong learning“
-Levels of analysis: „mega, meso, macro and micro“
-European policy in adult and lifelong learning: from 2000 till today
-Field visits to local and regional institutions of adult and continuing education
-Comparative research in adult education and lifelong learning
Comparative Group Work Includes:
-UNESCO’s policy in adult education and national implementations
-Work-related teaching and learning methods in higher education
-Learning cities, learning regions and learning communities
-Time in adult learning - resources for lifelong learning
-Reflective practices in adult and lifelong learning
-Competence in informal, non-formal and vocational education Professionalisation strategies in adult education
The Cultural Programme Includes:
-Guided city tour in Würzburg
-Würzburg Residence Palace
-Franconia evening in Würzburg
-City tour to Nürnberg
Registration: The deadline for registration is 31st October 2015. For non-European students the deadline is 30th September 2015 (Schengen-Visa). Applicants may apply here.
