New Update on CONFINTEA VI
The tenth issue of Confintea VI, covering January to April 2015, is now available via the Confintea Portal.
As a follow-up process of the Sixth International Conference on Adult Education (Confintea VI 2009), the Portal monitors the comprehensive Confintea agenda to promote adult learning and education in a lifelong and life-wide perspective. It also tracks the implementation of the Belém Framework for Action, adopted at Confintea VI.
Serving as a window to the progress in the field of adult learning and education, the Portal collects and displays information on national, regional and international activities undertaken in pursuance of the Belém Framework for Action by governments and civil society, by multi-lateral partners, and by UIL and UNESCO as a whole. Seeing itself as a dynamic tool and gradually enlarging its scope of data with the active contributions from all stakeholders, the Portal is responding to the call for an open-access knowledge management system in support of Member States as spelled out in the Belém Framework for Action.
