DCUBS delivers Malaysian Educators Entrepreneurship Programme

DCU Business School Centre for Executive Programmes is delivering a new entrepreneurship programme for Malaysian Polytechnic lecturers. This unique programme has been designed at the request of the Malaysian Ministry for Higher Education to deliver tailored entrepreneurial lectures to 10 lecturers over a three-month period in both DCU Business School and DCU Ryan Academy.

The residential programme will include digital marketing training, team-based consulting engagement with Enterprise Ireland, site visits to key indigenous companies throughout Irealnd and engagement with DCU Invent and County Enterprise Boards.

Speaking at the launch of the programme, Dr. John McMackin, Director of Executive & International Education, DCU Business School said,

"It is an honour to have been retained by the Malaysian Ministry for Higher Education to design and deliver a Programme on Entrepreneurship for a pilot group of lecturers from Malaysian Polytechnics. The initiative is part of a Malaysian government policy to encourage entrepreneurship by providing relevant skills throughout their third level education system. Significant support for this initiative was provided by the Irish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, and by Enterprise Ireland. For DCU, this international validation of our role as Ireland's University of Enterprise is most welcome. We hope that this is just the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Malaysian Government."
