DCU signs agreement with Beijing University

President of DCU, Professor Brian MacCraith has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) which aims to deepen the links between the two institutions.

BUPT is one of China's 73 Key National Universities, specialising in teaching and research in the areas of information and telecommunications. It has developed into an important Research & Development centre, making significant achievements in communications networking, information processing, network management, information security, optical fibre communications, wireless communications, computer applications, binary optics, artificial intelligence and robotics.

The signing took place during a week-long programme of engagement with DCU's significant exchange partners in Japan and China – Waseda University, Toyo University, Tagasaki University and Capital University of Economics and Business. The President met with senior academics and DCU students currently undertaking a year of study abroad.
