Ronan Langan
Ronan is a Neuro Physiotherapist with twelve years’ experience working in the subspecialty of spinal cord injury rehabilitation. He qualified from Trinity College Dublin with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2006 and is a member of the Irish Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. He previously worked in the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin in the Spinal Cord System of Care - Ireland's only dedicated spinal cord injury rehabilitation programme. Now, through his role as DCU's Exoskeleton Programme Lead, Ronan is applying robotics and other technology driven interventions, to support paralysed people to maximise their potential for recovery.
Gráinne Wickham
Gráinne is a specialist Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist. She graduated from Trinity College with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2021. She previously worked in the Children's Disability Network Team helping children with a wide range of with disabilities. As a the Paediatric Lead, Gráinne is exploring the benefits of exoskeleton walking in children through the medium of play.
Deirdre Byrne
Deirdre is an experienced Exoskeleton Handler that started 4 years ago as an intern with the programme. Over this time she has developed her talents in research and data analytics through DCU Insight.
Jacinta Conroy
Jacinta is an experienced administrator, helping to organise the team. Her role is to make bookings, manage the waitlist, and co-ordinate research.
