Launch of DCU Ability Programme by Minister of State for Disability Issues, Finian McGrath TD
A partnership between Dublin City University and St. Michael's House, DCU Ability is a new programme which promotes the employability of young people with disabilities to gain the skills, competencies and experiences needed to be career-ready.
The objective of the new programme is to create meaningful and tailored pathways into education, training and employability for young people with disabilities, using a person-centred approach.
DCU Ability will work in partnership with St. Michael's House and all units in DCU to harness joint expertise, resources and facilities.
The new programme is being launched in Dublin City University at 1.45pm on Monday, December 3rd, by Minister for Disability Issues, Finian McGrath TD, with special guest speaker, Joanne O'Riordan (disability rights campaigner and journalist).
