The Centre for Ethics at Yenepoya University and Yenepoya Nursing College organised an International Nursing Colloquium on “Patient advocacy - The role of nurse in ensuring ethically sensitive healthcare practice”, dedicated to nurses and nursing care. They brought to India the first ever international nursing colloquium on patient advocacy and the role of a nurse in ensuring ethically sensitive practice. Prof Dr Philomena Anne Scott, Vice President for Diversity and Equality, National University of Ireland, Galway and Prof Dr Bert Gordijn were the chief resource persons for the colloquium. The colloquium took place on November 14th 2017. 39 nurses participated.
