

EQI Researchers Present at WERA 2023
EQI researchers Joe O'Hara, John O'Hara, and Martin Brown presented several papers at the World Education Research Association (WERA) focal meeting in Singapore.
The ERAS-WERA International Conference and Focal Meeting 2023 aimed to highlight the impact of new technologies, techniques and tools in education. As one of the first educational conferences to be held after the pandemic, it sought to gather educational professionals from around the world to share unique challenges, solutions, and progress made due to the pandemic.
The ERAS-WERA International Conference and Focal Meeting 2023 explored the theme, “Forging Ahead: Transforming Education in a Rapidly Changing World” as well as other educational issues of concern in a post-pandemic world. The conference brought together speakers and practitioners who addressed areas such as assessment, curriculum studies, character and citizenship education, diverse and inclusive education, early childhood education, educational policy research, emergent technologies, and education, leadership, and education, post-COVID teaching and learning, sustainability education, well-being and education, teacher education and professional development, as well as motivation and learning.
The EQI researchers presented a paper based on John O'Hara's recently completed PhD examining Teacher Education Policies in Myanmar. In addition, Joe O'Hara presented with SCIREALRY colleague, Dr Icy Fresno Anabo on the first phase of research seeking to address the issue of Early School Leaving in Europe. Finally Joe O'Hara and Martin Brown presented a paper exploring the insights generated from the Erasmus + ICCEP project.
