EQI welcomes two Turkish scholars

EQI is delighted to welcome two Turkish scholars who will spend a semester working with researchers and practitioners in Ireland.

Dr. Mustafa Özgenel is a faculty member at the Department of Educational Sciences, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. His research work examines the professional development of education administrators and teachers. He intends to conduct research on ‘Investing in student success: Comparing the Ireland-Turkey context of professional development of teachers and administrators. 

Dr. Metin Özkan is an Associate Professor at Gaziantep University, Gaziantep Faculty of Educational Sciences. With a wide range of research interests including educational leadership, the role of ILSAs in educational quality assurance, and technology-supported education and training Prof Özkan will be working on projects comparing the impact of Distributed Leadership theory in Ireland and Turikiye and the comparison of PISA results and their impact in Turkiye and Ireland.
